Your Sunday Funnies: A Boat Race in the Yellow Kid’s Pond

Well, yes, as we have already mentioned many times before, the world’s first comic strip, Richard F. Outcault’s The Yellow Kid, is not just funny, but also beautiful, and since it has a passing relevance to the world’s new pandemic, we’re running it every week till the pandemic is over, or till we run out of comics. This week’s entry involves a boat race in one of those little sludgy ponds that used to abut the New York slums, back in the late 19th century.
